This incredibly rare and highly sought after design "Madison Avenue" is a limited edition scarf released for the opening of the Hermès flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City in September of 2000. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. The scarf design and color-way was made by one of Hermès most prolific designers, Kermit Oliver. Oliver, who once was a postal worker in rural Waco, Texas has become of the most collected artists and is the only American designer to ever design for Hermès. This particular scarf is a 2000 original issue and comes in the hard to find muted cream and pink color-way. Scarf is in great vintage condition with plump hand rolled edges.
