Hermès Special Edition "Feux D'artifice" Silk Jacquard Scarf by Michel Duchêne, 1987. "Feux D'artifice" or French for "Fireworks" was originally created to represent the horse rider on the top of the Hermès store located at 124, Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. This special edition of "Feux D'artifice" was released in extremely limited quantities and edited to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Hermès on a limited edition silk jacquard material. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This rare and highly sought after design was made famous by legendary equestrian designer Michel Duchêne who was responsible for many popular designs such as "Les Fetes Du Roi Soleil" and "Chasse". Scarf is in great vintage condition with plump hand rolled edges and minimal signs of use. Full condition report and specifications listed below:
