"Carpe Diem" which was later named to "Gloria Solis" was inspired by the roman calendar and the celebration of the moon and stars. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This extremely popular and highly sought after design was originally issued as "Carpe Diem" or French for "Seize the Day" and renamed in the 2005 edition as "Gloria Solis" made by famous Hermès artist Joachim Metz. Metz, who was responsible for many popular designs such as "Les Tambours" and "Liberty". Scarf is in great condition with plump hand rolled edges and tags present.
