Hermès "Le Poitevin" Cashmere Silk 90 cm Scarf by Hubert de Watrigant, 1987. "Le Poitevin", or french for the type of French hunting hounds depicted in the design that were exclusively bred in the region of Poitevin, France. This extremely rare highly sought after design was made by world famous French artist, Hubert de Watrigant and was the first of his nineteen designs made for the iconic fashion house Hermès. Originally issued in 1983, the design of the "Le Poitevin" was inspired by the classic hunt and depicts the hounds in packs waiting for the command and in various resting positions. This rare color way comes in a gold coloration with a rich illustration that Watrigant is known for in his illustration of animals. Good condition with light use shown throughout with hand rolled edges.

Measures: 35.5" H x 35.5" L

Condition: Good pre-owned condition with light signs of use throughout with wear concentrated edges. Slight pilling throughout scarf and small pulls along edges as well. Tiny hole to bottom and right edge. Comes with original box.
