Hermès Natural Clemence Retourne Kelly Handbag with Gold Hardware 32cm, 2007. Originally introduced in the early 1930's as the Sac à dépêches bag, the Kelly became world renowned after Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco appeared on the cover of Life magazine shielding her baby bump from the paparazzi with a Kelly. With the help of Grace Kelly, the Kelly bag became a highly coveted luxury piece with over 24 hours of hand craftsmanship into each bag made in a variety of colors, leathers and finishes.
This particular retourne Kelly was handcrafted in France in 2007 from premium clemence leather in the popular "Natural" coloration with rarely done contrast white stitching. The Kellys' relaxed retourne structure has over 2,600 stitches to the durable clemence exterior and is lined with chevre leather in natural. Stamped to the inside of the touret with "K" in square, symbolizing the production year of 2007 and a craftsman stamp of "128.5" indicating the section of the atelier that the bag was made in. Gold plated hardware is in excellent condition and retains the protective plastic on all of its surfaces including the matching strap. Comes complete with the removable clochette, clochette dust bag, lock, two keys, storage box as well as dust bag. In great like new condition with signs of structure wear due to storage and minimal signs of use. Certificate of authentication will also be provided to buyer.
