$37,995.00

Rare Hermès Shiny Black Porosus Crocodile 23cm Constance Bag with Gold Hardware, 2001. Originally introduced in 1959, the Constance bag was created by Catherine Chaillet and gained its namesake due to the birth of Catherine's fifth child, Constance on the very day the bag was released. Since it's creation, the Constance has gained world recognition and has been named amongst the "holy trinity of bags", The Kelly, Birkin and Constance. Each Constance is done entirely by hand by a highly skilled and trained Hermés craftsman over the course of an 18 hour period and is offered in a wide variety of colors and skins, creating the ultimate symbol of luxury, quality and sophistication. This extremely rare and highly sought after Constance was handcrafted in France from shiny porosus crocodile in black coloration with matching chevre (goatskin) lined interior and decorated with gold plated hardware. Adorned with "Hermés Paris" and "Made in France" embossment to front of bag as well as caret "^" symbol indicating the use of porosus crocodile. Blind stamped with “E” in square, indicating the year made (2001) and also has "1R" craftsman stamp symbolizing the section of the atelier where the bag was constructed to interior side of zipped pocket.
