Vanity with attached gilt mirror, inlaid with exotic woods, Italian, circa 1900. The vanity is parquetry-inlaid, consisting of kingwood, satinwood, walnut and other exotic timbers, in geometrical patterns to top and chevrons to the doors and sides, with a concave center opening for a vanity chair, stool or bench, with a shaped and slightly stepped apron, strung with satinwood inlay, on tapering legs, with satinwood stringing to all four sides, the attached mirror is hand carved with stylized acanthus leaves, with original brasses. This piece is of the highest possible quality. In excellent antique condition with minimal wear, it has just been attended to by a professional restorer, who has cleaned, touched-up, and polished it. It is now ready to be placed in the finest interior or showroom.
