Marble Top Side Cabinet, Figured Burl Walnut with Marquetry Inlay, Italian, 1880
Side Cabinet with Marble Top, Highly Figured Burl Walnut and Satinwood marquetry inlays, Italian, ca. 1880, with Carrara marble top with canted corners, over a stepped molding of solid walnut, over a single drawer with very fine satinwood marquetry inlays depicting stylized dragons and a central cartouche with a single gilt bronze pull to the center, with a molded freise, over a raised panel and inset cabinet door with single gilt bronze button pull, on a molded and canted plinth base with further marquetry inlays (central cartouche with crown and dragons), on turned turnip front feet and block feet to rear.
Measurements: 13” D x 20” W x 35” H.
Condition: In very good antique condition, with minor and stable wood separations to sides as seen in the photos. The piece has been recently French polished and is ready to be placed in the finest interior or showroom.
