Minton Majolica Oyster Plate, the relief-molded dish with six wells glazed in mottled leopard spots of green and dark brown, each well separated by shells and seaweed, the center well glazed in green and banded with shells, the reverse with impressed marks, 'MINTON,' date cypher for 1870, and British Registry Diamond for 20 March 1867, and design number '1323,' which corresponds to the entry, 'OYSTER PLATE, SIX OYSTERS (M),' as recorded in the Minton Ornamental Shapes preserved in the Minton Archives and reprinted in J.
