A Wedgwood Majolica Lobster Plate, with the central figure of a red-glazed lobster on sea greens on a cobalt blue ground, and with relief molded root vegetables to the lip, the reverse with impressed marks: WEDGWOOD and three letter date code (K for 1882), and painted design number '2916' for 'Lobster Salad' as found in the majolica pattern books, Victoria and Albert Museum, Wedgwood Archives.

This design is included in the Karmason Stake Library of the Majolica International Society, KL Number 001709, and is designated rare.
