A Minton Majolica Game Pie Tureen, Cover, and Liner, the base molded as a wicker basket with green glazed oak leaves and banded branch handles on raised feet, the cover with high relief molded game: a rabbit, a Mallard duck, and other game bird on a bed of naturalistic leaves and ferns, the knop formed as a branch, the interior and base glazed in turquoise, with impressed 'MINTON' mark and date cipher for 1859, complete with the liner, which was used for actually baking the game pie and then served at table concealed in the tureen.
