Chanel Timeless Black Small Classic Double Flap Quilted Lambskin Bag, 1994 - 1996. The iconic Chanel bag was originally issued by Coco Chanel in February 1955 which became the very first socially acceptable shoulder bag for the modern day woman of considerable social status, thanks to Chanel. The mademoiselle chain and lock which was named after the fact that Chanel never married, are two staples that make Chanel bags a forever timeless classic. After years of the success of the 2.55 bag, the next step for the Chanel brand was the addition of Karl Lagerfield who took over the fashion house in the early 1980's. The classic flap bag was updated by Lagerfield in the silhouette, turn lock closure as well as available sizing. This particular double flap bag comes in a beautiful black supple lambskin leather with 24KT gold plated "CC" mademoiselle lock, chain and hardware. Interior houses the iconic burgundy rich lambskin with the classic fold over flap with two inner slip storage compartments as well as exterior rear slip pocket.
