Louis Vuitton x Murakami Limited Edition Monogram Multicolor Porte Tresor Wallet, 2003. This highly sought after piece of Louis Vuitton history became a worldwide phenomenon when Japanese artist Takashi Murakami teamed up with the Louis Vuitton brand and creative Director Marc Jacobs for a range of exclusive collections. On the Spring/Summer 2003 runway, the multicolor line where Murakami re-imagined the classic monogram logo with a variety of bright colors in his whimsical Japanese designs became an instant cult classic favored by celebrities all over the world. This particular leather "Porte Tresor" wallet was made in the the iconic miniature multicolor "LV" monogram pattern against a white canvas with snap lock closure to exterior of wallet and fully expandable interior. Condition: GRADE - 3. Porte Tresor wallet shows signs of use to the exterior vachetta and along edges where darkening and rubbing has occurred that shows a dark honey patina as well as some rubbing to the monogram canvas. Hardware has light scratches and patination to corners. Interior has dark markings to inside from use and creasing to where the wallet naturally opens and closes. Interior of snap closure bill fold shows dark color transfer and marks from hardware.
