Hermès "Napoleon" 90cm Cream Silk Scarf by Philippe Ledoux, 1963. This incredibly rare and highly sought after design "Napoleon" pays homage to the emperor of France, Napoleon Bonaparte. This piece was originally designed in 1963 and handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards in which that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This scarf design and color-way was made by one of Hermès most prolific designers, Philippe Ledoux who was responsible for many designs such as "Springs" and "Reprise". This particular scarf is a re-issue and comes in the beautiful cream/burgundy color way that depicts scenes including "The Legion of honor" as well as Napoleon's coronation. Scarf is in good gently used condition with plump hand rolled edges. Full condition report and specifications listed below:

Measures: 35" H x 35" L

Condition: GRADE: 2. Great pre-owned condition with slight signs of use from folding storage of scarf. Edges are still very plump.

Year Made: Re-issue in Hermès Burgundy.
